2/27/08

For those fans that were planning on attending the show on March 8 in Oak Forest, ElitePro officials have decided to experiment with a concept and hold "TV Xclusive" matches prior to the DVD/TV Taping. These matches will be held starting at 6:30pm with the doors now opening at 6:15pm.

These matches will be taped for Elite TV only and will not appear on the DVDs. Already scheduled to participate in these "TV Xclusive" matches are ElitePro Heavyweight Champion Dysfunction, ElitePro World TV Champion Brandon Thomaselli, JCW Heavyweight Champion Corporal Robinson and "Canadian Crazyhorse" Michael Elgin.

***ELITEPRO TV TITLE DEFENDED IN CANADA***

Though he has yet to defend his newly-won ElitePro Television Title in an ElitePro ring or even the United States, Brandon Thomaselli has already made a successful title defense.

This past weekend, ElitePro sent a number of wrestlers over the border to Ontario All Pro Wrestling. The group included The Iron Saints, Jason Hades, Mustafa Ali and of course the Elite TV champion himself.

After a few phonecalls were exchanged between officials from Elite Pro and Ontario All Pro, a deal was worked out to have the belt defended on the show that night. Brandon successfully defended the belt defeating a young man by the name of Mike Rollin and in the process made it a true World Television Championship.

Remember, Brandon Thomaselli is scheduled to make his first title defense in ElitePro on March 8 when he takes on "Pure Dynamite" Billy Roc.

***MORE ELITE TV TITLE NEWS***

Insane Championship Wrestling (ICW) in Milwaukee, Wis. and Elite Pro Wrestling have come to an agreement to have ElitePro World TV Champion Brandon Thomaselli defend the title on their big annual 4/20 Show in April. He will defend against the winner of an upcoming match on March 7 in Milwaukee, pitting Drake Younger against Troy Walters.

This of course depends on whether Thomaselli is able to successfully defend the title both on March 8 against Billy Roc and on April 19 when ElitePro debuts in Frankfort, IL against a yet unnamed opponent.

If you're in the Milwaukee area, check out the show on March 7 and April 20 at 3000 S 13th Street in Milwaukee, Wis.

***ASH & CHAMBERS SIGN "NON-TITLE OPEN CONTRACT" FOR 3/8***

Ever since "The Resident Rockstar" Ash cost him a chance to become the ElitePro Heavyweight Champion, Michael Elgin has been flooding the ElitePro offices with phonecalls and emails demanding a chance to get his hands on his former partner.

Last month, Ash was already scheduled to participate in the $600 Six-Man Tag to crown the first Elite TV champion, and ElitePro officials felt it would not be fair to force Ash to wrestle twice.

When the last ElitePro Newz hit the internet, "The Resident Rockstar" Ash saw an opportunity to again avoid having to face his former tag partner. When the announcement was made for Team W.A.R.'s Non-Title Open Contract, Ash quickly called the office and claimed the opportunity for he and his good friend Kris Chambers. The two wrestlers do meet the requirements, having debuted before 3/8 and having not teamed together in ElitePro.

So, while Michael Elgin will be forced to sign a contract for a singles match against another wrestler, Ash and Kris Chambers will have an opportunity to earn themselves a tag team title shot if they are able to defeat Acid and Synn in this one-fall matchup.

***IRON SAINTS PLAN BIG ANNOUNCEMENT***

Vito Thomaselli recently contacted the EliteProWrestling.com office and asked the news department to issue a release about a "big announcement" on March 8 in Oak Forest that he and his brother Sal had planned.

Obviously, we were a bit skeptical. The last time the Iron Saints promised fans a "big announcement", it was merely a joke announcement about them proclaiming the rights to being the No. 1 Contenders to the ElitePro Tag Team Titles. This time, Vito assured our news director, was going to be the real deal. No funny stuff.

Vito Thomaselli has promised fans that this announcement will live up to the hype.

***2 TUFF TONY MAKES HIS ELITEPRO DEBUT ON 4/19***

When ElitePro makes its debut in Frankfort, IL at the Park District, it will also be the ElitePro debut of one of the biggest stars of not only IWA MidSouth Wrestling or Juggalo Championship Wrestling, but also a veteran of the Big Japan Wrestling promotion in Japan.

ElitePro has struck a deal with none other than 2 Tuff Tony to make his ElitePro debut in singles action on April 19!

***KIMBERLY KASH ANNOUNCES TWO MEMBERS OF HER TEAM FOR 3/8 MAIN EVENT***

Kimberly Kash, president of Kash Inc., has informed ElitePro officials who will represent her on March 8 when Elite Pro Wrestling returns to the Oak Forest Park District.

Kash has selected the "crown jewel" of Kash Inc., ElitePro Champion Dysfunction has the captain of her team. She has also selected her Head of Security, J.D. Hughes to team with the champion.

As for the identity of the third member of the team, Kash would only offer this statement:

"Corporal Robinson is a foul-mouthed, Juggalo, creep that doesn't deserve to be in the same room as me, let alone a wrestler the caliber of Dysfunction. On March 8 I have decided to take out an "insurance policy" of sorts for Kash Inc. This insurance policy will debut in Oak Forest and make sure Kash Inc. sends Corporal Robinson and JCW out of Elite Pro Wrestling for good!"

***ELITE TV TITLE RULES***

The ElitePro office has issued a release regarding the rules for the new Elite TV Title.

The rules are simple. The matches will be contested under traditional wrestling rules with a 15-minute time limit, meaning there will be only one fall to decide the winner.

As traditional rules dictate, the title will not change hands on a DQ, countout or draw. The title only changes hands on a pinfall, submission or knockout.

***ELITEPRO DOJO GRADUATE TO MAKE SINGLES DEBUT***

At the "Make Your Mark" show in January, the ElitePro Dojo's first graduate Martin Jones, made his debut in a six-man tag after winning a battle royal of students. Jones held his own in the match and showed ElitePro officials he was ready for a singles match.

On March 8, he gets his chance. But it will not be easy. He will take on the man that choked him out in his first match. "The Real Deal" Jay Jensen was able to lock the rookie in his "Lights Out" choke hold and win the match. Jensen, who has had a hand in training Jones at the ElitePro Dojo, was delighted to find out he was given the opportunity to "break the kid into the business".
***TEAM W.A.R. SIGNS TO COMPETE IN NON-TITLE MATCH ON 3/8***

With no suitable opponents available to challenge the ElitePro Tag Team champions on March 8, the ElitePro office went to Team W.A.R. (Acid & Synn) and asked them if they would be willing to sign a "Non-Title Open Contract" for any tag team looking to make a name for themselves in ElitePro.

The catch to the contract, is that the two men will only be eligible if both members of the team have A) debuted in ElitePro before 3/8 and B) have not tagged together in ElitePro.

RESULTS FROM "GRAND FINALE"

***CORPORAL ROBINSON AND THE RING RYDAS ISSUE CHALLENGE***

If there was an "MVP" of Grand Finale, one would certainly have to nominate Corporal Robinson. The reigning King of the Deathmatches and Juggalo Championship Wrestling Heavyweight champion nearly won the Fight For The Gold Rumble, lasting until the final four.

Then, in an impromptu tag team challenge, Robinson teamed with "The Canadian Crazyhorse" Michael Elgin to fight Baltazar and J.D. Hughes of Kash, Inc. The match ended in a no-contest, and Dysfunction joined his stablemates in a beatdown of Robinson. Robinson had help, though. Making their ElitePro debut, the tag team known as The Ring Rydas from JCW came to Corp's aid and ran off Kash, Inc.

If that weren't enough, Robinson was selected at random to replace Chase Richards in the $600 Six-Man Tag to crown the first-ever Elite TV Champion. He lasted until the four-way match, but was not involved in the pinfall and was eliminated. But not before he introduced ElitePro's first-ever "Bar Fight", which saw Corp, Brandon Thomaselli, Jay Jensen and Jeff King slug it out with stiff punches to the face until all four men simultaneously fall out of their chairs from exhaustion.

With that said, this morning (Feb. 4) Corporal Robinson contacted the ElitePro offices with a few thoughts on his mind.

On behalf of himself and The Ring Rydas, Corporal Robinson issued a challenge for March 8 in Oak Forest to Kimberly Kash, president of Kash, Inc. On March 8, Robinson and The Ring Rydas have challenged any three members of Kash, Inc. to a six-man tag team match.

EliteProWrestling.com attempted to reach Kimberly Kash for comment, but only got a "no comment" from her publicist.

Later in the day, Kash called back into the office and angrily said that she accepts the challenge, but refused to say which members of her stable would be in the match. We'll continue to press her on this issue.

ElitePro officials have already stated that this six-man tag team match will headline the still untitled March 8 show in Oak Forest.

***BRANDON THOMASELLI MAKES FIRST TITLE DEFENSE 3/8***

This past Saturday, Brandon Thomaselli outlasted five other competitors to become the first-ever Elite TV Champion. ElitePro officials have already signed his challenger for the belt on Saturday, March 8 in Oak Forest.

"Pure Dynamite" Billy Roc has been signed to challenge Thomaselli for the Elite TV Title. Roc and Thomaselli have a history together in IWA MidSouth, where they often exchanged verbal barbs through commentary during each others matches. Despite the verbal taunting, the two have never faced each other one-on-one. Until March 8.

In recent months we've seen a new, more fan-friendly Brandon Thomaselli. While his new best friend, Jason Hades, has seemed to change his attitude, make no mistake that Thomaselli will bring his "A game" when he takes on Billy Roc. When reached for comment, Thomaselli had this to say "Billy Roc is a fine wrestler who I have a ton of respect for. But this TV Title means way too much to me to lose it in my first defense. It's going to take everything Billy Roc has for him to beat me on March 8."

***HADES VS. ALI II SIGNED FOR 3/8***

This past Saturday, what was a back-and-forth cruiserweight contest between two young upstarts was marred by interference from Team Taliban. Throughout the bout, Jake O'Neill and Mustafa Ali used dirty tactics that would eventually lead to a disqualification in Ali's match against Jason Hades.

Eventually, Brandon Thomaselli ran off Team Taliban, but not before Hades was beaten down pretty severely.

Later that night, Hades went to the ElitePro officials and demanded a rematch against Ali on March. 8. But this time, he wanted to make sure that O'Neill wouldn't interfere. In order to ensure that, the ElitePro office decided that Jake O'Neill would be handcuffed to Brandon Thomaselli at ringside in order to negate the interference.

***HADES VS. ALI ADDED TO GRAND FINALE***

The feud between Team Taliban and Jason Hades has been raging for well over 7 months, and on Saturday, Feb. 2 the feud gets deeper as Hades will take on the newest member of Team Taliban, Mustafa Ali, who was hand-picked by "Prince" Arya Daivari, in a one-on-one grudge match.

Without question, Jason Hades is set to make 2008 his breakout year in ElitePro and independent wrestling. Since "Prince" Arya came to ElitePro some 8 months ago, it was Hades who took it upon himself to run him out of the company. While it's not quite "mission accomplished", Hades has still been competitive depsite being out-munbered. Hades has scored impressive victories in tag team competition with partners Ricochet and Brandon Thomaselli against Team Taliban. On February 2, he must go it alone against what appears to be the most athletically gifted member of this indy wrestling terrorist cell.

Mustafa Ali has been beyond impressive in his two matches thus far, including a decisive tag team victory at "Make Your Mark" when he and Jake O'Neil defeated the team of Brett Gakiya and CJ Esparza. He has shown to be smart, vicious and has clearly made an impression on his partner, Jake O'Neil, who has promised to be in Ali's corner at "Grand Finale".

***ELITEPRO RETURNS TO OAK FOREST ON FEB. 2 FOR "GRAND FINALE"***

On Saturday, February 2 at the Oak Forest Park District, Elite Pro Wrestling will present it's second TV taping event entitled "Grand Finale" as we finally crown the first-ever Elite TV Champion.

The main event of the evening has already been determined, as we will see Team W.A.R. (Acid & Synn) defend the ElitePro Tag Team Titles against the former champions, The Iron Saints. Fuel has been added to this already raging fire, as the match will be a Dog Collar Match and if the Iron Saints lose, they will not be eligable for another title shot for one calendar year.

As the new championship rules dictate, the Iron Saints must defeat Team W.A.R twice in one match in order to regain the titles.

***GRAND FINALE $600 SIX-MAN TAG TO CROWN FIRST ELITE TV CHAMPION SIGNED FOR OAK FOREST***

Over the past 6-7 months, participants have been qualifying for the a chance to take part in a very prestigious match to crown a new champion in Elite Pro Wrestling.

Brandon Thomaselli was the first wrestler to qualify by winning the first $600 Six-Man Tag. The match, an original ElitePro creation, starts as a six-man tag team match. The teams are selected by ElitePro officials and the match goes to one fall. The loser of the fall is eliminated from the match, while the winner earns a break from the match and the match now becomes a four-way dance. No tags are necessary and the match goes to another fall. The winner of the fall advances in the match, while the remaining three are eliminated. The winner of the first and second falls then fight one-on-one to a single winner.

Jay Jensen was the second man to qualify, followed by Chase Richards, Mike Horning, Ash and Jeff King. Those six men will battle it out to determined who will be crowned the first-ever Elite TV Champion.

***SECOND-EVER FIGHT FOR THE GOLD RUMBLE SCHEDULED FOR "GRAND FINALE"***

Last season, ElitePro officials introduced a concept called the "Fight For The Gold Rumble", a battle royal where the winner would earn a title shot later in the night.

Chase "The Face" Richards won the first-ever FFTG Rumble and capitalized on the situation and became the second ElitePro Champion. Another member of the ElitePro roster will have that same opportunity.

Any member of the roster is eligable for the rumble, including wrestlers that are already announced in matches. Should they win the FFTG Rumble, they would wrestle twice in one night.

The champion, in this case Dysfunction, will also be entered into the rumble and should he win, he will have earned himself a night off and no title defense.

The wrestlers will surround the ring and participants will be draw out of a hat at random in 30 second intervals until everyone has been entered.

Talent already signed to participate in the rumble includes: ElitePro Champion Dysfunction, Mike Stevens, Kris Chambers, Brandon Thomaselli, Jay Jensen, Chase Richards, Michael Elgin, Corporal Robinson, Mike Horning, Ash, Troy Walters, Jake O'Neil, Mustafa Ali, Jason Hades and Jeff King. More names may be added before the event.

On Saturday, January 19 ElitePro will debut in Mokena, IL at Smak Fitness with a show it is calling "Make Your Mark".

The current crop of wrestling students at the ElitePro Dojo in New Lenox, IL have been granted an enormous opportunity by the trainers to compete in their first wrestling show.

At "Make Your Mark" the students will compete in a Battle Royal with the winner advancing to that night's main event. In the main event, the victorious student will team with two members of the current ElitePro roster (yet to be determined) against all three Thomaselli brothers - Vito, Sal and Brandon - who also happen to be the head trainers at the ElitePro Dojo.

ElitePro officials will be in talks with members of the roster this weekend at "Season Premiere" to see if anyone is willing to team with the lucky (or is it unlucky?) ElitePro Dojo student.

HIGHLY REGARDED DOWNSTATE ILLINOIS TALENT TO GET OPPORTUNITY ON 1/19 IN MOKENA, IL

The show is not only a chance for one determined student to show his or her trainer what they have learned, it will also be an opportunity for some young, promising talent from downstate Illinois to get an opportunity to make their mark in ElitePro.

Already signed for this big event are two young men by the names of CJ Esparza and Nick Brubaker. The two talents were noticed on a recent scouting trip by ElitePro officials and were offered an opportunity on Jan. 19.

MIKE AND KATE NOLAN WELCOME THEIR FIRST CHILD

On January 1, 2008 the ElitePro Family got a bit bigger when Mike Nolan and his wife Kate welcomed their first child into the world. Caroline Grace Nolan is happy, healthy and at home with mom and dad. Everyone at ElitePro would like to extend a huge congratulations to the proud parents.

GRAND FINALE IN FEB. TO CROWN 1ST ELITE TV CHAMPION

In independent wrestling, it is often considered a joke when a promotion introduces a "television title", when they do not actually have a show on television.

Those fans that have been following ElitePro in recent months know that we aren't like most other wrestling promotions. In this case, we actually have a TV show (which you can see every Friday on Comcast Cable Ch. 19). It only seemed fitting for the ElitePro office to decide that the new "secondary" title, scheduled to be decided at the "Grand Finale" in February in Oak Forest, would officially be named the "EliteTV Title".

This Saturday in Steger at "Season Premiere", the new belt will be revealed for the first time. EliteProWrestling.com has learned that it is a Reggie Parks belt. All other details have been kept secret until Saturday night in Steger.

ELITEPRO'S BEN JORDAN APPEARS ON RUMBLE RADIO

On the latest episode of Rumble Radio (myspace.com/rumbleradio), the voice of ElitePro Ben Jordan, appeared on the show to take part in the SmarkDown Trivia Challenge. Jordan went head-to-head in a Best-of-7 wrestling trivia battle with host Kevin Kellum. You can find a link to download the show by visiting the show's MySpace page.

Main Event Signed For "Season Premiere"
ElitePro Champion, Dysfunction, and his manager Kimberly Kash have effectively manipulated the champions schedule to keep him from having to defend his title since winning it from Chase Richards at "Calm Before the Storm". That will no longer be the case. At "Season Premiere", Dysfunction will defend the ElitePro Championship against a man that opened a number of eyes when he debuted in November. When he scored an impressive victory over Brandon Thomaselli, "The Canadian Crazyhorse" Michael Elgin caught the attention of the ElitePro office and has been granted a title shot in just his second match.

Corporal Robinson Returns To ElitePro on January, 5th
At "Tag Team Warfare", Corporal Robinson made his ElitePro debut alongside Ian Rotten, taking on Night Breed. In the end, it was a distraction by J.D. Hughes that allowed Night Breed to double-team slam Robinson through two chairs, allowing them to pick up a cheap victory.

When ElitePro officials contacted Robinson to take part our "Season Premiere", the reigning King of the Deathmatches and JCW Heavyweight Champion, had one request. Robinson wanted his opponent to be none other than Kash, Inc.'s Head of Security, J.D. Hughes. ElitePro officials were happy to oblige his request. Corporal Robinson will no doubt have revenge on his mind in Steger.

Jensen-Richards II Signed For "Season Premiere"
After Chase "The Face" Richards surprised Jay Jensen will a rollup at "Tag Team Warfare", "The Real Deal" brutally attacked and choked out Richards, leaving him laying. On Saturday, Jan. 5, the two will square off once again after Jensen demanded a rematch. Both men will participate in the Grand Finale $600 Six-Man Tag in February, and whomever wins will certainly have momentum heading into that match.

Team W.A.R. not Participating In "Season Premiere"
Fresh off ending the Iron Saints' near one-year reign as tag team champions, Team W.A.R. - Acid & Synn - regretfully informed the ElitePro offices that the impending birth of Acid's first child will force Team W.A.R. to decline an offer to participate at "Season Premiere".

Iron Saints To Make Announcement
Still stinging from their first tag team loss in ElitePro competition, The Iron Saints - Sal & Vito Thomaselli - have informed the ElitePro offices that they plan on making a major announcement at "Season Premiere".

Arya Daivari To Send Newest member Of Team Taliban To Steger
Jake O'Neill, the American representative of Team Taliban, contacted the ElitePro offices to inform them that while Arya Daivari will not be appearing at "Season Premiere", he is sending a new member of Team Taliban to Steger to represent him. This unknown representative will then apparently be extending an offer to a member of the ElitePro locker room to be the fourth member of Team Taliban.
